Specifically chosen and tuned for GLA, this small Graupner servo uses Carbonite gears instead of plastic or metal gears. Carbonite is a term Graupner uses to describe Carbon reinforced plastics
From our testing, these carbonite gears are light and strong, making the servo both super fast and very robust against crashes without Servo savers. These servos are much more robust than plastic gear servos and much faster than metal gear servos, giving you best of both worlds.
After hours of testing with GLA prototype, these DES131 have internal parameters tuned specifically for GLA, we had to do this because DES131 was originally a Plane/Helicopter servo, so internal parameters like dead band, curve mapping, etc were not designed with GLA in mind.
Also, GL version features a custom length receiver cable and micro JST plug suitable for GoGoLap receiver.
The requirement of other mini RC cars such as AMZ or BZ will be very similar to GLA, so you can also buy this as an option for AMZ and BZ. However, a gentle reminder that DES131 is smaller than standard AMZ/BZ servos, and also requires a different Servo horn. You can customize the included servo horns to suit AMZ/BZ, or buy Atomic’s servo horn and mount for DES131. We have no relation with Atomic Btw, but as service to the Mini RC community, here’s Atomic’s product to support DES131: BZ Alu. Servo Horn & Mount (for Graupner DES131)
